My name is Stephen Jackson. I am an IT Consultant with a Birmingham, Alabama based company called Computer Technology Solutions (CTS). I live in a suburb of Birmingham called Chelsea with my beautiful wife and three sons (6 and under). I have over ten years of IT experience.

Web Development

I am primarily a web developer. I have experience with ASP.NET, PHP, and Python. I have developed sites in ASP.NET, Codeigniter, and Django.

Open Government

I created the site OpenBama.org. This site tracks the Alabama Legislature (bills, votes, and actions) and provides a way for the public to better track legislation.

Open Source

During the day I work in a Microsoft world but at night and on the weekends I tinker with open source projects and technologies. I am drawn to the innovation and freedom that makes up the open source world.
